How to Get to Llyn Dinas
Llyn Dinas is located on the A498 between Beddgelert and Pen-y-Pass (postcode: LL55 4NH). There is a small car park at Nant Gwynant and layby parking available along the road. Public transport includes buses from Caernarfon and Porthmadog, stopping at Beddgelert and Nant Gwynant.

A Bit of Llyn Dinas History
Llyn Dinas is named after the nearby Dinas Emrys hill, which is said to have been the site of King Vortigern’s stronghold. According to legend, the red dragon (symbolising Wales) defeated the white dragon (symbolising England) here, a tale famously recounted by Geoffrey of Monmouth. The ruins on the hill date back to medieval times, adding a sense of ancient heritage to the landscape.
